Golden Rodeos

Golden Circle of Champions and "Golden Rodeos" all across the US create life changing memories for children fighting various types of pediatric cancer, better known as "Golden Champions". Each Golden Rodeo may look a little different, but one thing is the same... for the duration of that rodeo, those Golden Champions get to trade their thoughts of chemo and treatment, for those of bulls and broncs. They get to temporarily pause the stress and the fear of the unknown, or in some cases the known, and just be a kid. The whole time, being treated like the Royalty they are. Because after all, there is no grater Champion than a child fighting cancer.

NFR Event

National Finals Rodeo has joined with the Golden Circle of Champions to raise awareness of pediatric cancer by helping honor 20 children and their families. Each year Golden Rodeos from across the country select a child to send to Las Vegas for a trip of a lifetime. There, they get partnered up with top-ranked cowboys and cowgirls to learn about the events. Rodeo committees, sponsors, NFR contestants along side the Golden Champions and their families, attend a very special gala that honors the Champions. They start the day by having a rodeo of their own with roping dummies and bouncy horses. After, NFR contestants and their Champions show off their moves in a runway contest. Each Champion is then outfitted like a true cowboy/cowgirl. They are each gifted Wrangler jeans, Justin boots, a Resistol hat signed by all the contestants, a Montana Silversmiths buckle, a Boot Barn belt, golden wild rags and many other goodies to ensure they feel like Champions!
